Madden NFL 13 has been given a release date for the end of August, but players will be able to get their hands on a playable demo of the game today in North America. The game is the most complete Madden handheld experience to date, and was built from the Gen 3 engine so PS3 gamers will feel right at home.
Drinkbox Studios have revealed that the PS Vita and PS3 exclusive Guacamelee will include cross-platform features, including cross-controller. “We’re integrating the Vita as a PS3 controller for Guacamelee, utilizing the Vita screen for a mini-map, and hopefully more,” Drinkbox’s Chris McQuinn told Joystiq.
A listing on GAME’s website revealed the first details on the new Need For Speed: Most Wanted coming to the Vita. The PS Vita version of the game will include events and challenges that makes use of the console’s hardware features including the camera and microphone.
Although announced at E3 back in June, Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified has been kept under wraps with little to no information on the game. That is all set to change next week at gamescom, where Sony and Activision will finally be revealing more information on the title.
It looks like Sony has a real treat in store for PS Vita owners at Gamescom next week. An “anonymous” source reveals that Sony will be releasing a number of previously announced Apps for the PS Vita, including Wake Up Club, Travel Bug and Ecolibrium next week.
A few months away is the PS Vita’s first anniversary in Japan, but Sony is still having difficulty convincing third-party developers to adopt the system. The PS Vita had a strong launch line-up, but suffered dry periods since, with new titles few and far between.
The Facebook App on the PS Vita has been updated with more features and functionality. The update, which is available to download now, adds search functionality, check-ins to places, and photo upload functionality to the app.
While Soul Sacrifice has an AI controlled partner in single player mode, creator and Comcept CEO Keiji Inafune designed it as a multiplayer game. In an interview with Siliconera, Inafune said “I recommend the multiplayer mode where you can play with your friends or girlfriend.”
Sony has revealed the release date for the sequel to Zen Pinball for the PS Vita and PS3. Zen Pinball 2 will be available to download this September on both platforms. The game will be cross-platform compatible and even better, you’ll be able to download the game for free.
