WipEout HD & Fury Coming to PlayStation Vita

A screenshot of the trophy list for WipEout 2048 suggests that the PS Vita game will be getting WipEout HD and the WipEout HD Fury DLC pack as downloadable content. The addition of the new content will add a further 22 trophies to the game, and most likely add cross-save features to the game, allowing PS3 owners to continue their campaign on the PS Vita, though this has yet to be confirmed.

PS Vita Sales Continue to Grow Slowly

PS Vita sales worldwide are starting to grow slowly according to VGChartz. In week ending June 9th 2012, the PS Vita sold just over 50,000 units world wide – not a lot compared to the 3DS’ 135,000+ units – but a growth compared to the previous week’s 45,000 units. Week on week, the PS Vita’s sales increased by 10%, and exceeded the PSP’s sales, which is still going strong.

Sony Removes 4GB Memory Card from Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation Bundle

Sony has discretely removed the 4GB Memory Card that was supposed to be part of the Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation bundle. At E3 2012, Sony announced a PS Vita white console, the Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation game and a 4GB memory card would be included in the bundle, however, the product listing on the PlayStation Website shows that the 4GB memory card is no longer included.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz Coming to PS Vita on October 23rd 2012

Sega has revealed that the upcoming exclusive PS Vita title, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz, will be released on October 23 2012. The game features 100 levels across five worlds made of Jungle, Clay, Wood, Metal and Cardboard. The game also features both local multiplayer and online multiplayer over Wifi — a first for the series.

SCEE Liverpool Working on Unannounced PS3/PS Vita Title

The PlayStation Jobs site has revealed that SCEE’s Liverpool Studio are working on a yet unannounced PS3/PS Vita game, and are looking for an Audio Manager to work on the title. The job listings says Sony are “looking for an experienced, organised and extremely motivated Audio Manager/Audio Lead, based at SCEE Liverpool Studio, working on an as yet unannounced PS3/Vita.”

Ubisoft Says PS Vita is “a really good platform”

Tony Key, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Ubisoft has been praising the PS Vita in an interview with IGN. Key told IGN that “We need to put our best stuff on that system,” and that the Vita is “a really good platform” and that as a company they’ve “always liked it.”
