A new Augmented Reality title is making its way to the PS Vita called Table Ice Hockey. Sony has released screenshots of the game from Gamescom, which joined the AR Play line-up of titles, that include pulzAR, Table Top Tanks and Cliff Diving, and Table Football.
Sony’s trophy system has been locked to the PS3 and PS Vita so far, but the company is looking to expand its reach. The company reportedly plans on opening up the API to access these features from any PlayStation-certified device using the PlayStation Mobile SDK, allowing developers to add trophies to their games.
As PlayStation Mobile prepares for an Autumn launch, Sony has released the sizzle reel it displayed at their Gamescom Press Conference. PlayStation Mobile already has over 80 confirmed developers working on the platform, and this sizzle reel shows you exactly what kind of games and apps you can expect.
Sony has released new screenshots of upcoming PS Vita app Ecolibrium. Ecolibrium is an imaginative eco-system simulator where the aim is to maintain harmony within your own created environment. Players can create their own environment where they must raise species and help them survive.
Earlier this week was the first time Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified was shown to the world having been first announced at E3 back in June. Following from the Gamescom trailer, we now have screenshots of the game for you to take a look at. The game promises to be the full COD experience in a portable form, including eight player multiplayer.

Criterion Games have released the first screenshot of Need for Speed: Most Wanted on the PS Vita. The developers are working to port the entire PS3 game onto the Vita, while adding some exclusive content for the console too. “On Vita we’re pushing the system as far as it goes with a large-scale, open-world driving game and incredible-looking cars,” says Criterion.
Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida has told Eurogamer that the company’s engineering teams are trying to find ways to bring the cost of the PS Vita down, however, don’t expect a price cut this year. For the remainder of the year, Sony will be focusing on value with PS Vita bundles like the recently announced PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale and Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified bundles.
Wired Productions has announced that the PS Vita’s first full-scale fishing game will be coming to Europe and North America. Wired Productions will be bringing Let’s Fish! Hooked On to the West, exclusive to the PS Vita, after signing a deal with developer SIMS.
Sony announced at their Gamescom Press Conference that PlayStation Mobile (PSM) will be launching this Autumn, with a number of professional studios and “bedroom” developers releasing content. Today, a list of confirmed developers and publishers was revealed, showing better support than the PS Vita.
