The third and final stage in the PS Vita sale on the European PlayStation Store begins tomorrow. In addition to last week’s discounts, this week you can find PSP and minis titles on discount, all of which are compatible on the PS Vita.
Earth Defence Force 2017, a third-person shooter developed by Sandlot and published by D3 Publisher, for the Xbox 360, is coming to the PS Vita in Japan in September. The title, which was released back in 2007, will be ported to the PS Vita and retitled as “Earth Defense Force 3 Portable”.
With only a few days to go until the end of June, this rumor is a bit of a stretch, but worth mentioning anyway. According to an “anonymous source,” a firmware update for the PS Vita will be released in the next few days that will enable PSOne Classics to be played on the PS Vita.
LittleBigPlanet on the PS Vita is now available to pre-order. Depending on the retailer you choose and which country you live in, you will get a different pre-order bonus costume packs. Gamers have two choices of costume packs: Knights of Old or BioShock. The former will be exclusive to pre-orders, and won’t be available to purchase in the future.
The PlayStation Mobile (or PlayStation Suite) SDK has been in open beta for a few months now, and the first apps are beginning to appear. The first is a calculator app for the PS Vita (download link below) and the second is a Tic-Tac-Toe game (no download link available).
Treasures of Montezuma Blitz has 13 trophies that can be unlocked. Unfortunately, the trophies cannot currently be synced to the PlayStation Network, so they won’t appear on your PSN Profile – they will remain on your PS Vita until the bug can be resolved.
The WipEout HD Fury DLC for WipEout 2048 adds 11 new trophies to the game, featuring bronze and silver trophies only.
The Asylum DLC for Escape Plan adds 4 new trophies to the game. This consists of three silver trophies and one gold trophy.
If you enjoy Frobisher Says! on the PS Vita, you will be happy to know that a new Mini-game has been unlocked today. The mini-game, called “Clear this landing site” can now be played. If you haven’t got Frobisher Says!, head over to the PlayStation Store and download it for free.
