SCE President Andrew House told Reuters in an interview that Sony is aiming to sell ten million PlayStation Vita systems before the end of the current fiscal year. Sony is hoping to achieve the sales target by releasing major software titles during the holiday season.
The last figures released by Sony in March 2012 shows that the PS Vita has sold under 2 million units worldwide. The current financial year ends in March 2013, with the current quarter ending in June 2012. Sony is hoping to achieve a combined sales target of 16 million units between all its portable hardware, including the PSP and PS Vita.
