PS Vita Production Ends in Japan

March 6th, 2019 / Niraj Shah / News

The Japanese PlayStation website has been updated to indicate that the PS Vita is no longer in production, which marks the official end to the PlayStation Vita console.

The pages for the final two PS Vita models, PCH-2000 ZA11 (PS Vita Black) and PCH-2000 ZA23 (PS Vita Aqua Blue), were updated to indicate “shipment ended” (translated from Japanese), meaning these models are no longer being produced.

Sony has also stopped giving away PS Vita games in the monthly PlayStation Plus update, with only two games now available in this month’s update.
