PocketStation Relaunched As Vita App in Japan

November 5th, 2013 / Niraj Shah / News

Earlier this week, Sony teased the return of PocketStation in a bizarre video with a November 5th reveal. It turns out that the Japanese device will be relaunched as a PS Vita application with a variety of classic mini-games, shown in the trailer below.

The mini games include those inspired by Crash Bandicoot, Mega Man, Ape Escape and Final Fantasy. Other supported PSOne games include IQ Final, Everybody’s Golf, and Spyro.

Unfortunately, it unknown if the application will also be released in the West. Since the original PocketStation never made it to the West, it will be good to see the virtual version make it across as consolation.
