Newly formed studio Activision Leeds will be handling all handheld Call of Duty titles going forward, according to Andy Payne, chairman of UKIE. The Leeds studio was established in November 2011, although their projects are a secret. It’s not known whether the Leeds studio is working on Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified for the PS Vita.
Speaking to VideoGamer, Payne stated that the studio is working collaboratively with other studios so that assets are reused, instead of wasting time creating new ones. “The two studios are saying, ‘I need a tank, pull it off from the library’. And those assets are also going to be starting to be used by the mobile team, which is going to be based in Leeds,” he said.
Unfortunately, there was no official comment from Activision on the subject.
