Persona 4 Helps Sell More PS Vita Units in Japan

June 21st, 2012 / Niraj Shah / News

The release of Persona 4 in Japan last week have helped boost the PS Vita’s sales. Media Create figures for the 11-17th June 2012 show nearly 140,000 copies of game have shifted, along with nearly 35,000 Vitas, up considerably from the 13,000 last week.

Earlier this month, PS Vita sales were boosted by the release of The Metal Gear Solid Collection and Kidou Senshi Gundam Seed: Battle Destiny. The new figures mean the Vita has sold 765,000 units in Japan to date. The release of more popular games will help the PS Vita sell even more units. The Metal Gear Solid Collection is yet to be released in Europe, which could show a climb in sales too.
