LIMBO’s release date for the PS Vita has been confirmed by Double Eleven and Playdead, and will be heading to the PlayStation Store next week. In North America, the game will be releasing on June 5th 2013, followed by Europe on June 6th 2013. The game will be offered as a digital download in PlayStation Store, priced at €12.99/£9.99 / $14.99.
For those that haven’t heard of LIMBO, it’s a 2D side-scroller with players guiding a boy through dangerous environments and traps as he searches for his sister. The developer built the game’s puzzles expecting the player to fail before finding the correct solution. Playdead called the style of play “trial and death”, and used gruesome imagery for the boy’s deaths to steer the player from unworkable solutions.
