Sarah Thomson, senior manager of Mobile Content Acquisition, confirmed that trophies and online leaderboards were coming to PlayStation Mobile. Thompson revealed the news when speaking to Polygon, stating that “it’s a priority for us.” Trophy support wasn’t included with the PlayStation Mobile launch last week, as Sony wanted to release a “minimal, viable product” first.
“There’s actually a method to our madness to launching in this sort of minimal, viable product standpoint, or a beta,” Thomson replied. Thompson also said to “stay tuned” on PlayStation Mobile coming to the PlayStation 3, teasing that the service could be coming to the home console in the future.
